If you’re like me and still planning your beverage and food choices for tomorrow night’s 86th Academy Award’s Show, pick up the starring beverages of the Governors Ball and drink like the celebrities.
The Bubbles
For the second consecutive year, Champagne Thiénot will be the exclusive champagne of the Oscars.
During the pre-show reception, guests will enjoy Thiénot Brut, while at the Governors Ball the Thiénot Rosé and the Thiénot Vintage 2005 will be paired with the fine cuisine of Chef Wolfgang Puck for the 1,500 guests.
Thiénot Champagne comes from the city of Reims, located in the heart of the historic Champagne region. Most of the grapes come from its own vineyards, in the famous Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.
The Wine & Spirits
And returning again this year as featured winery is Sterling Vineyards. The limited production 2010 Reserve Chardonnay and 2008 Reserve Cabernet will be served at the Governors Ball.
As Sterling Vineyards wines are produced by Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines (DC&E), they will also be joined at the bar by Diageo Luxury Brands Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky, Cîroc Ultra-Premium Vodka, and Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur.
