I’m getting sad summer is coming to an end :( but what better way to welcome in September than with International Cabernet Day this Thursday 1 September. Anyone, anywhere can participate! Last year 3,000 people in six countries joined the fun!

It’s an all day virtual event started by Rick Bakas. There are also in-person events and meet ups taking place. Find all the details on Eventbrite (or follow #CabernetDay on Twitter).

How to join the virtual tasting if you’re new (I did my first virtual tasting in June)…

  1. Get yourself on Twitter…it’s the best way to participate and virtually join the fun.
  2. Grab a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon (if you’re looking for suggestions, Eventbrite list wine sponsors of the event).
  3. Pop open the bottle on Thursday and get online…use the #CabernetDay hash tag in your tweets (you can also do on Facebook, Tweetdeck, etc…) … post about what you’re tasting, where you’re tasting, who you’re with. And follow #CabernetDay on Twitter, Tweetdeck, etc..
Cheers & hope to see you Thursday!
